What is Tuna?
Tuna is an AI-powered food scanner app that uses Google Gemini AI to analyze food ingredient
labels and detect potential allergens instantly. Simply take a photo of any food label, and
Tuna will identify ingredients that might be harmful based on your dietary profile.
How do I scan a food label?
- Open the Tuna app
- Tap the "Scan" button on the home screen
- Point your camera at the ingredient list on the food package
- Take a clear photo or select from your gallery
- Wait a few seconds for AI analysis results
What allergens can Tuna detect?
Tuna can detect major allergens including: Gluten, Lactose, Milk, Eggs, Peanuts, Tree Nuts,
Soy, Fish, Shellfish, Wheat, and Sesame. You can customize your allergen profile in Settings
to receive personalized alerts.

What's included in the free version?
The free version includes 3 scans per day with full AI analysis capabilities. You can set up
your allergen profile and receive detailed ingredient reports for each scan.

How do I cancel my subscription?
- Open Settings on your iPhone
- Tap your name at the top
- Tap "Subscriptions"
- Find Tuna and tap on it
- Tap "Cancel Subscription"
You'll retain access until the end of your current billing period.
How do I restore my purchase?
If you've switched devices or reinstalled the app, tap "Restore Purchases" on the
subscription screen. Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID you used for the
original purchase.
Privacy & Data
Is my data stored on your servers?
No. Your profile data and scan history are stored locally on your device. We only send
images to Google Gemini AI for analysis, which are processed and not stored. We don't
require account creation.
How do I delete my data?
Go to Settings in the app and tap "Clear All Data." This will permanently delete your
profile, scan history, and all preferences from your device.
